Biographical Information
Born in 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia, Margaret "Meg" Williams was an active member of the Virginia Women's Political Caucus from 1971-1976. She also served on a number of other women's organizations including the Women's Lobby and co-authored The Almanac of Virginia Politics, 1977-1985 . A full biographical vita compiled in 1985 is included in the collection.
Scope and Content
Papers, 1970-1985, of Margaret "Meg" Williams (1953-) principally consisting of correspodence, speeches, printed resource materials, newspaper clippings, writings, and General Assembly bills pertaining to women. This material generally concerns Williams' activities as a woman's activist in Virginia during the 1970's and early 1980's.
