Formed in 1822 from Bath, Botetourt, and Monroe (West Virginia) Counties. Additional part of Bath County added in 1823 and additional part of Monroe County (West Virginia) added in 1843.
Scope and Content
Alleghany County (Va.) Inventory and Appraisement, 1825. Consists of an inventory and appraisal of the slaves and personal property of David Kean. The slaves portion of the inventory and appraisal is missing.
