Carroll County was formed in 1842 from Grayson County. Part of Patrick County was added in 1856.
Scope and Content
Carroll County (Va.) Various Court Records, 1888-1899. Consists of an execution from the court case, Commonwealth vs. Jane Stonerman, 1888; a search warrant for the house of Rebecca Kelly, in response to a complaint of theft from Ira Norvell, 1896; a receipt pertaining to the court case Lancheiner and Sons vs. Owens, 1898; a receipt from P.T. Beamer, Trustee, 1890; and a subpoena for the testimony of Henry Carter on behalf of George Davis in the court case Commonwealth vs. George Davis, 1899.
