Biographical Information
William Tisinger was born 1 September 1816 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, to John Tisinger (1777-1854) and Elizabeth Catherine Bowman Tisinger (1776-1842). William Tisinger became surveyor for Shenandoah County. He married Amelia H. Will (1820-1885) 14 June 1848, and they had six children. Their son Joseph Homer Tisinger (1853-1938) was a farmer. He married Julia Arnetta Henkel (1859-1911) and they had seven children.
Reuben Bird Will (1830-1913) was the brother of Amelia Will Tisinger, and they were the children of George Will. Sallie Elizabeth Will (1856-1912) was the daughter of their sister, Mary Will.
Siram Peter Henkel (1809-1879) was the father of Julia Arnetta Henkel Tisinger. Lewis P. Henkel (1837-1904) was her brother. Solomon D. Henkel (1815-1872) was Julia Tisinger's and Lewis Henkel's uncle, and Siram Henkel's brother.
