Their son John Raines Mason was born on 24 April 1770. He was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, justice of the peace, and sherriff of Sussex County. He married (1) Lucy Massenburg around 1790, and (2) Sarah Harrison Cargill. He died in December 1826.
