The Robert Alonzo Brock Collection was filmed by The Huntington Library in cooperation with The Library of Virginia with funding provided by The Library of Virginia Foundation with the support of The Roller-Bottimore Foundation and The Robins Foundation. Microfilm received 15 April 2004.
Historical Information
Rockbridge County was named for Natural Bridge, an exceptional rock formation located in the county. The county was formed from Augusta and Botetourt Counties in 1778, and another part of Botetourt was added later.

Preston, 1854 Apr. 5; to Ambrose Campbell, 1853 Oct. 6; to Jacob Doom, 1815 Apr. 27; to Robert Glasgow, 1824 Feb. 13; to Joseph Shields, 1823 Mar. 10; and to James McClung, 1808 Feb. 9.
