Scope and Content

Augusta County (Va.) List of Slaves Removed to Virginia from Georgia, 1781, consists of two lists of slaves which the owners swear have not been imported from Africa nor have been brought into Virginia for the purpose of being sold. In both lists, the slaveowner is named and all names and ages of slaves being brought into the state are given.
