Biographocal Note:

Private Nathaniel Lewis a Union soldier from Greenwood,Dodderidge County, West Virginia, and was in Company G, 6th West Virginia Volunteers.

Scope and Contents

Private Nathaniel Lewis letters to his brother-in-law Petter [sic?] Bailey and sister Jane Bailey, 0.03 cubic feet, about a skirmish at Hurricane Bridge, West Virginia in 1863 April 1. Mention of John Moore and General Albert G. Jenkins. Also included is a letter from Hannah Lewis to Jane Bailey.
