Scope and Contents

Sarah E. Jackson letters, MSS 16211, dated 1877, 1895, 0.03 cubic feet, from her son and his cousin who were students at the University of Virginia. They mention "the Lawn", Monticello, the Medical School, and the "Chemical laboratory which is just about completed." There is also a letter from a cousin of General Stonewall Jackson, P. Lafford, and a University of Virginia class photograph taken in front of what is now Alderman Library. (1877)
