Immediate Source of Acquisition

The library's Green Bag bobblehead collection was displayed in law librarian Kent Olson's office for many years. Upon his retirement in 2021, Olson transferred the collection to Special Collections. Staff continued to build upon the collection through purchasing missing figurines from eBay and through the traditional method: redeeming certificates, printed in the Green Bag journal or received in postcard form, at the office of O'Melveny & Myers (Washington, DC) for new figurines.

Scope and Contents

The collection includes 29 bobblehead figurines produced by The Green Bag law journal from 2003 to 2024. Each bobblehead depicts a prominent figure in American legal history and includes iconography related to their legal careers.
