Biographical / Historical
William Hemsley Emory (1811-1887) graduated from the United State Military Academy (West Point, New York) in 1831. During the Civil War he was an Union Army General.
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of: A manuscript titled "Rebellion Record of Brevet Major General W. H. Emory" (1872; 50 pages) Two volume report of Union Forces during the 1864 Red River Campaign, including details about the 13th, 16th, 17th, and 19th Army Corps One volume report of Union Forces during the 1864 Shenandoah Valley Campaign, including details about the 19th Army Corps
