Scope and Contents

This collection (18 items) consists of material dating from John M. Lillard's service as a United States Navy pilot stationed in the Persian Gulf area, including: Tactical pilotage and jet navigation charts that Lillard used during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield in 1991 Joint Overhead Graphic of Lebanon (1983) used during operations in support of the Multinational Peacekeeping Force occupation of Beirut International Airport Photographs of United States Navy F-14s and the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) A letter detailing Lillard's experience during the Persian Gulf War A program from a memorial service held aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt for three men killed in action in February 1991 Lillard is a member of the VMI, Class of 1980.
