Biographical / Historical
James Jasper Phillips was born in 1832 and graduated from VMI in 1853. During the Civil War he was a Colonel with the 9th Virginia Infantry Regiment. After the War he was a buisnessman. Phillips died in 1908 in New York City, New York.
