Administrative History
Formed in 1969 as part of the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges community services project funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. When the Council structure of the AACJC was reorganized in 1972, the National Council on Community Services & Continuing Education (NCCSCE) became one of the operating councils of the AACJC. Currently [as early as March 2001], it involves more than 1000 members in the United States and Canada. Its goals include encouraging the growth of community services and continuing education as a response to the lifelong learning needs of all citizens.

The collection includes membership lists, minutes, treasurer's reports, newsletters, correspondence, National conference proceedings, handbooks, and annual reports of the National Council on Community Services & Continuing Education (NCCSCE).
