Louis Vahon's company created "made to measure," clothing. Measurements were sent in with a mail-order and the custom fit clothing was sent in return.

This collection contains a number of promotional materials for Louis Vahon's mail-order tailoring business. Vahon's company created "made to measure," clothing. Measurements were sent in with a mail-order and the custom fit clothing was sent in return. One pamphlet in the collection states, "Our plan of sending goods by express -ALL CHARGES PREPAID BY US- with FULL TRY-ON PRIVELEDGES, assures you of a perfect fit, and examination as regards the making before you need to pay for them." The collection also includes of a form letter from the company to a potential patron, informational pamphlets, envelops, a measurement guide, and textile samples.
