William H. Goodpasture was born around 1836 and lived in Marion, Smyth County, Virginia, with his wife, Margret, and seven children: Albert, David W., Charles H., Sarah E., James G., Everett H., and Nancy J.
Scope and Content
The document is a written agreement between William H. Goodpasture and Robert J. Aker, stating that Goodpasture was responsible for selling one-half acre of land to Aker. In addition to the sale of the land, the deed specifies that Aker was to pay Goodpasture in three payments to be paid in full by September 1874. The document also marks, as Goodpasture's responsibility, the drafting of a "good deed" for Aker's purchase. It is signed by both Aker and Goodpasture.
