Source of Acquisition

This collection was transferred to Special Collections and University Archives by Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets in January 1975.

Processing Information

The processing, arrangement, and description of the V.A.M.C. Cadet Coatee was completed in June 2025. Preliminary description was completed in 1993.

Scope and Content

The collection contains a blue grey Cadet coatee from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College. The material consists of wool and cotton lining with some tears in lining. Several buttons missing from the front of the coat. Remaining buttons are gold colored with "V.A.M.C." above the college's seal. Tag on the inside collar of the coat reads "D. Klein and Bro. Phildelphia" Tag stitched into the lining that reads "Donated by Corps Jan. 1975."
