Biographical Note
Hoffman F. Brown, III graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1977. While at W&L, he was a member of the Student Association for Black Unity, the track team, and the Glee Club.
Content Description
The collection consists primarily of photographs that document Hoffman Brown's life as a student at Washington and Lee University between 1973-1977. The photograph subjects include Glee Club, the Student Association for Black Unity (SABU), the Black Awareness Ball, social activities of black students, and the W&L track team. There are a few documents related to the Black Awareness Ball and an undated flyer for a Sickle Cell fundraising disco sponsored by SABU.
