Content Description

Journal, bound letters, and loose papers belonging to Rev. William Thomas Dumm. In his journal, Dumm describes areas he traveled to in order to serve various congregations as a Methodist minister around the state of Maryland. Included within the journal are loose letters addressed to and from Dumm and notes on poetry from Dearborn College. Unique on within the first few pages of the journal is a cut out silhouette of Dumm in a bound letter to his brother dated June 26, 1839 from Marietta College.
