Carl Neprud was born in Coon Valley, Wisconsin December 24, 1889. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1912 and
received a master'sdegree in 1927. He married Josephine Ladner Hutchison in 1923 and they had 3 daughters. He served with
the Chinese customs service from 1914-1947 in various capacities. Appointed to E. C. A. Mission to Austria, October 1951.
Caught in Hongkong when Jparnese attacked but was repatriated. He died October 1976.
