Scope and Contents
Salvation Army "Combined Corps Roll" from Rockingham County, Virginia which covers the years 1926 to 1969, with some later additions.
Includes a General Rule Book, with salary and dress code guidelines, Summary Sheets from visits by Divisional Officers which detail recruit and membership statistics, a Roll, which is separated by position and rank, which includes name, address, date of birth, religious affiliation, date of enrollment and removal and sometimes rank, a Dedication Register, soldier transfer forms and a 1980 conference schedule. Roll information includes Adherents, Local Officers and Bandsmen, Women's Home League, Corps Cadets, Life-saving Guards and Cradle Roll. 75% of the book are records of former soldiers.
Included are notes on the Salvation Army, prepared when inventoried.
