Biographical / Historical
The Office of the Historic Campus at the College of William and Mary oversees the university's Historic Campus including the Wren Building, the President's House, and the Brafferton as well as the adjoining buildings of the Sunken Garden campus.
Scope and Contents
This collection contains material produced by the modern College of William and Mary Office of the Historic Campus as well as selected material produced before the office was organized about the buildings of the historic campus: the Sir Christopher Wren Building (the College Building), the Brafferton, and the President's House.

Container List
The Wren Building restoration plans from Perry, Shaw & Hepburn Architects from 1929-1930 are also included in this collection although they predate the existence of the Historic Campus office. Material bound together as "Specifications for Restoration of Main Building" was prepared by the architect and is dated September 12, 1930. "Tracings from the Field Book Sketches Representing measured Brick Remains Excavated at William and Mary College" provides drawings of the brick walls and foundations found in the court of the Wren Building also from the architect dated 1929. Meyers dated 2009 Mar 10 indicating that Meyers is the person who converted the report to pdf format and acknowledging Ackerman's inclusion of Meyers' document titled "Further Evidence".
This accession contains the files of Valerie Hardy while Director of the Historic Campus, with the bulk of the material dating from 1985-1995. Some of the topics found in the series include the Committee to Furnish the President's House reports and minutes, tour information for the Historic Campus, publications, construction files, furniture inventories, and Christmas cards. Accession 2014.171.
These files are in no particular chronological or alphabetical order, though annual material appears to be grouped together. The original folder headings on the folders were used, even though there is inconsistency in the headings for the same subjects.
