Biographical / Historical

The Daguerreotype is possibly of John Tyler, his son John Tyler, Jr. and an unidentified woman. John Tyler was the tenth United States President, serving from 1841 to 1845.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of a Daguerreotype of three individuals, possible U.S. President John Tyler, his son John, Jr, and an unidentified woman. The daguerreotype was taken by J.H. Whitehurst.
