Biographical / Historical

Literacy for Life was founded as an Adult SKills Program in 1975 by William and Mary. It later became a United Way agency in 1979. Currently, the organization is an independent 501(c)3 organization that seeks to increase adult literacy in the Williamsburg area.

The collection includes Literacy for life clippings, scrapbook, newsletters, digital photos, and hardcopy photos. The materials highlight the organization's events and members.
