Scope and Contents
This collection includes three letters, 1943-1945, and a propaganda leaflet, all in German:
Letter, 1945 Feb. 4, from Hans Widlanger, Friedeck (today: Frýdek-Místek, Tschechie) to Maria (Ria) Röder, Heidelberg.
Two letters, 5 July and 6 July 1943, from [A.] Schäffler to his wife Elfriede Schäffler.
Also included is a leaflet, circa 1943, distributed by the Allies in Germany during the war.
The donor has provided translations for the leaflet and the 1945 letter, but those have not been verfied for accuracy.
Separated Material
A copy of the 3 April 1944 "Magdeburger Anzeiger" was moved to the Rare Book newspaper collection and will be available after cataloging.
A copy of Schirach, Baldur von, Armin D. (Armin Dieter) Lehmann, and Adolf Hitler. "Die Hitler-Jugend : idee und Gestalt," Leipzig: Koehler & Amelang, 1934, is has been transferred to the Rare Book collection and is avaialble under DD253 .S25 1934.
