The First Presbyterian Church in Newport, News VA, had soldiers and sailors sign a ledger between 1917 and 1918. Horses and other goods were shipped to France from this port.

The collection includes two items: a soldiers and sailors address book and Volume 53, no. 1 of the "Virginia Tidewater Genealogy" dated March, 2022.
Scope and Contents
The collection includes a soldier and sailors address book from 1917-1918 and a March, 2022 "Virginia Tidewater Genealogy" quarterly release from the Tidewater Genealogical Society. The First Presbyterian Church of Newport News, VA had soldiers and sailors sign into this address book, or ledger. The quarterly release includes a list of these signees and articles related to Newport News during WWI, New Zealand during WWI, and Loyalists in the American Revolutionary War. Virginia Tidewater Genealogy contact information and updates are included as well.
