Abstract
Photographs and miscellaneous records regarding the Gattiam-Hallam and Layman families (ca. 1905-40) of north central West Virginia, including 10 cabinet cards, 3 photo portrait postcards, 3 commercial postcards, and wedding announcement, among other items. Most materials document the Gattian and Hallam families (with a focus on Stella Gattiam and John HallManuscripts, who were married). There are group portraits of grade school classes in Fairmont (ca. 1920s, including Katherine Joan Hallam) and miscellaneous household records from the 1930s. These materials were originally in a notebook assembled by Katherine Joan Hallam. There are also clippings of obituaries for Hall family members of Fairmont, WV (1950-71).
