Abstract
Typescript manual titled "The Cook House: A Manual for the Interpretation of the Nineteenth Century Home of Tillinghast Almy
and Betsey Cook" prepared by Dolores Fleming in 1984. The volume discusses the genealogy of the Cook and Barker familes of
Parkersburg, West Virginia and surrounding areas during the late 18th and 19th centuries. It also includes an extensive discussion
of the architecture and furnishings of the Cook House, built in the late 1820's, as well as copies of original census records,
photographs, legal records, and maps. There is also a brochure (2 copies) about the Cook House with a brief history of the
Cook family and The Junior League of Parkersburg.
