Biographical / Historical
Cecil Curtis Teets (1920-1995) was born and grew up in the Sago area near Buckhannon, West Virginia. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the depression years. Enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1942, he served in the medical corps after training at Lawson General Hospital in Atlanta in January 1943. He was in Okinawa toward the end of World War II, performing duties as an airfield ambulance driver.
