Abstract
Top hat owned by J.P. Scott (born 21 April 1857), a prominent lawyer and citizen of Tucker County, West Virginia. It's 6 1/2
in. tall, and its oval brim measures 8 1/2 in. x 11 in. Inside the hat there is gold lettering that reads "Celebrated Rossmore
Make, Guaranteed to Wear". There is also a narrative by the donor regarding the acquisition of this hat.
