Abstract
Muster roll of a company of Monongalia County Militia dated February 20, 1818, and printed in original spelling of the names of ninety-eight soldiers in the company. Their commander was Capt. John Launce who had orders from the President of the United States for active service. This volume was presented to the University by Siegel O. Gardner, Morgantown public schools, Morgantown W. Va., in the summer of 1945. George Sils, last survivor of Gen. Lee's army in Monongalia County, died in summer of 1943. Two large photographs. Tyrone Forge 1807-1814. Record book containing a list of employees, wages paid etc., of the Forge at Tyrone, Monongalia County.
