Abstract
Typescript copy of a speech made about the life of Evermont Ward (1819-1882) given by Colonel George S. Wallace at a meeting
of the Huntington Bar Association in 1947. Ward, a native of Cabell County, was a Circuit Court judge in Wayne County from
1873-1880. He was also named on the Committee on Judiciary and the Select Committee on Land Titles during the 1871 Consitutional
Convention. Also contains two newspaper articles regarding Ward's judicial decisions.
