Abstract
Oscar Doane Lambert (1888-1959) was a historian, professor of history at West Virginia University, and a manuscripts collector
for the University's West Virginia and Regional History Collection. Collection contains twenty-two scrapbooks compiled by
Lambert almost entirely filled with newspaper clippings from the 1930s and 1940s that document various aspects of religion
and West Virginia history. Most clippings about religion come from God's Revivalist and Bible Advocate and the Pentecostal Herald and Way of Faith newspapers. Scrapbooks also contain religious poetry, articles about West Virginia, World War II, and the genealogy of families
from Wirt County, West Virginia. An index to the scrapbook is available in the library.
