Abstract
Collection of 77 boxes of glass plate negatives and 18 boxes of sleeves that originally contained the negatives, which have descriptive information pertaining to the negatives. Glass plate negatives were taken by various creators. Subjects include portraits of Morgantown citizens, parades, industry, businesses, buildings, churches, High Street, and bridges. Outside of Morgantown, areas depicted include Monongalia County, Morgan County, Mason County, Martinsburg, Lewis County, Jefferson County, Hampshire County, Harpers Ferry, Grant County, Hardy County, Berkeley County. Subjects depicted outside of Morgantown but of an unidentified location include logging and lumbering, industry, fairs, exhibits, congresses, coal mines and mining, caves, camps, canals, agriculture, bridges. Boxes 1-33a contain glass plate negatives
Boxes 34-52 contain sleeves Please note that transcriptions of the text on the sleeves are only available online for boxes 1-12a; the rest have yet to be transcribed.
