Abstract
Letter from Russell L. Morris submitted to Edward G. Smith and the Board of Governors regarding the real estate holdings of the university in 1927. This letter documents the history of the university's land ownership at that time, beginning with the first grant in 1867and listing all future acquisitions. Morris provides information about the conveyance of land through legislative acts as well as from individuals, listing forty-three separate acts of acquisition from 1867 to 1927. He notes the date of transfer and grantor for each property and also provides a brief description of the land.
