Scope and Contents

3 booklets and a freshman beanie regarding West Virginia University belonging to Eugene Maddex and assorted West Virginia University-related ephemera regarding environmental activism, student life, and more belonging to Lee Maddex (Eugene's son). Also included are several flyers, posters, and other ephemera promoting performances of local Morgantown bands (specifically Nexus and Granny's 12 Gauge).

Addendum of 2025 May 20 includes materials documenting Eugene Byington Maddex's career as an engineer in the United States Navy during World War II, including photographs, Japanese propaganda, medals and other insignia, a wooden block with a character meaning "boss" in one of the languages of Papua New Guinea, and more.
