Abstract
Letter by Philip Reesman, a Union soldier stationed in West Virginia, to his father John Reesman. He requests that his father take care of recent debts at home, mentions his unit's move out of winter quarters, and his apprehension that they will soon be deployed in a hard battle. The letter is written on stationary with Union Army letterhead with the lyrics of "Answer to Who Will Care for Mother Now?".
