Biographical / Historical

William M. Glasgow, Jr. was a colonel in the Army who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. His father served with in WWII and also in WWI. Both Glasgows, along with Glasgows before them, were natives of Alexandria, Virginia.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains around 100 photographs featuring Alexandria residents, events, and organizations. The photos feature early Alexandria fire departments and events such as the Smoot Lumberyard fire, as well as colonial re-enactments, the 1st Virginia Infantry, and the American Legion.
