Immediate Source of Acquisition
Gift from Mrs. Armistead R. Long. They were previously owned by her cousin, Virginia Long Brown, who was the daughter of General Armistead L. Long.
Scope and Contents
Handwritten copy of a special order issued by General William L. Jackson on September 14th, 1862. The document gives orders to attack the ground occupied by the enemy.
