These records comprise record books from the library 1915-1953, (at which time accessioning was discontinued) and two photo albums - one of the dinner honoring Arthur J. Morris in 1971 and one for the dedication of the Law Library in 1974; also slides (60) of Phases I and II of the construction of North Grounds taken in June 1978.
These records were transferred to the archives in 1978.

This addition to the Law Library records was transferred to the archives by Barbara Murphy (assistant librarian) in April of 1979.
These historical records contain record books of acquisitions and circulation records, and copies of reports to the dean.

This addition is comprised of photographs and Virginia Law Reviews.
These photos were transferred to the archives in 1980.
RG 106-81 contains the office files of the University of Virginia Law Library from 1942 to 1981. Most of the material, however, pertains to the period 1955-1976, and gives details of the library's expansion and relocation in 1974. The great majority of the files relate to Frances Farmer's tenure as Law Librarian and include her personal memoranda and correspondence.
These records contain correspondence, invoices, order blanks, memoranda, minutes of committee meetings, publicity, brochures, gift registers, building plans, faculty publications and correspondence, advertisements,, University circulars, conference proceedings, and other material pertaining to the operating procedures of the Law Library.
The papers were placed in the Archives in essentially the order in which they were kept in the Law Librarian's office. As a chronicle of the growth and development of the Law Library, these records are quite valuable.
These records were transferred to the archives in 1981.
This addition supplements the files of RG 106-81. They consist of working files from the office of Larry Wenger, Law Librarian.

This addition comprises Frances Farmer (Law Librarian) files on the building, AALL conventions, hiring, questionnaires, renovation of the Moot Court, blueprints, etc.
These files were transferred to the library in 1984.
This addition to the Records of the Law Library contains reports of library departments, ca. 1960's to 1976; correspondence with administrators and faculty, general correspondence.
Files were transferred to the archives in the Summer of 1987.
Working administraive files re government documents, cataloging department, Annual Reports, and other miscellaneous files.
Transferred to the archives in 1991.
These addition contains the Law Library Acquisitions Policy and the 1989 Sole Procurement Memorandum.
These files were transferred to the archives by Taylor Fitchett, Law Librarian, in October of 2005.
These files contain brochures, invitations, memorabilia of the annual art exhibits that the Law Library organizes.
These miscellaneous files contain Statistical Reports (2 folders), Law Library Reports to SCHEV, University of Virginia Collection Development Policy, renovation of 3rd floor of the library plans, and Special Collections Renovation.
These files were transferred to the archives by Joe Wynne in 2010. The library renovation files were found in Alison White's office.
RG 106-2012 comprises of blueprints of the Law School faculty offices renovations (2007 by Train & Partners Architects), the library offices suite proposal. Also a set of Course Evaluations Ratings by Instructor and Course ranging from 1988-1995, and 1998-2002.
These records were transferred to the archives by Michael Klepper and Diane Huntley in 2012.
This small addition to the collection (1 box, .3 linear ft.) of documents was given to the archives by Joe Wynne, Systems Librarian, in July 2015 upon his retirement. Also added are some VHS tapes that Michael Klepper had videotaped in the 1980s and early 1990s.
The VHS tapes are stored in the media cabinet in Special Collections repository.

The records of the law library were transferred to the archives in 2018 and 2020. They pertained mainly to the tenure of Professor Larry Wenger, Law Librarian. The documents were in file cabinets in the basement of the library since 1998.
