Abstract
Letter to Judge Gideon D. Camden (1805-1891) of Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. Camden was a lawyer, Democratic politician, member of the Virginia Convention of 1850-1851, circuit judge, and state senator (1872-1876). Contains letter from James Brown, Jr., 2nd Auditors Office, dated 2 November 1849, informing Camden that the Board of Public Works will probably supply additional capital for the completion of the Weston and Fairmont Turnpike, of which company Camden was president.
