Brief sketch of the founding of the town of Ripley, West Virginia, its early history and settlers; cemetery readings of the Old Ripley Cemetery copied by the Historic Records Survey, 1940; and a copy of the deed from John Swan, Jr., to Jacob Starcher for the land on which Ripley was settled.
