Scope and Content
The slides, computer discs, contact sheets, and negatives in this collection are enclosed in 453 3-ring binders that were delivered to Archives and Special Collections by Lora Gordon, University Photographer, in 2007. They contain photographs taken primarly by Lora Gordon and other photographers, from 1990-2007. The photographs consist primarily of promotional photos taken to accompany press release or to meet special photography requests. Examples include atheletics, scenes of campus, people, or events that were requested by regional newspapers. Other photographs were taken of groups, ensembles, performers, dignitaries, or guest artists who came to campus. The binders retain their original labels and have been recorded as such in the finding aid.
Arrangement
Photos from the RU Public Relations Office have been donated to the archives in different groups at different times. The larger group consists fo RU 6.3.2 - Public Relations Photo Collection, with different Series reflecting original order as determined by the archivist. 1990-2007 is the largest series in this group, and consists of 473 3-ring binders, each containing slides in sleeves, contact sheets, and/or negatives. The original binder labels as supplied by the RU PR office are used if available. Other series are being processed and described as they are located in the Archives.
