Scope and Content

There are ca. 40 items, 1725-1930 and n.d., consisting of land grants, deeds, surveys and plats, and other papers pertaining to the Blackwell and Smith and related families, chiefly of Fauquier County, Virginia ; and, printed material. Printed articles pertain to the Blackwell family , Civil War heroes, George Washington , the United States Army , and Randolph-Macon College . There are also two small published works, Baptismal Vows (1863) and Military and Naval Insignia and Novelties (1914).
