Scope and Content
This typed manuscript by Don P. Halsey, Jr. (1870-?), a Virginia State Senator, lawyer, and writer from Lynchburg , entitled "That After Life" is a sequel to his earlier work, The Evidence For Immortality , which was published in 1931. This book continues his examination of the question of the eternal existence of the human soul by trying to determine the nature or mode of that existence. The manuscript consists of seventy-nine pages including an appendix, and contains several autograph corrections by Halsey.
A biographical sketch of Halsey from History of Virginia Virginia Biography Volume 4, p. 368, can be found in the control folder. The Manuscripts Division of Special Collections also has the papers of John P. Halsey, Jr. and the Halsey Family (see # 310 and 375).
