Scope and Content Information

In this letter to Professor Theodore Spencer of Cambridge, Massachusetts, E.E. Cummings of New York thanks him for his new book, writing about his wife and one of his poems, "Marian [has] been in a hospital since March 23rd wrestling with pleurisy and bursitis; Out doctor says she may stay another two weeks. Now I find her courage is as great as her beauty...Perhaps you can imagine how I value your good opinion of '1X1'."
