Scope and Content
This collection consists of the bound account, thirteen pages on twenty leaves, 1834-1862, of Joseph C. Mann with his employer, J. A. Mann , Scott County, Virginia , detailing his purchases of general merchandise and his salary during the years (1836-1842) he kept store for J. A. Mann in Tennessee and elsewhere. The document is signed by Justice William C. Brickey who verified that J. A. Mann appeared before him in court on March 2, 1862, attesting to the accuracy of his account with the late Joseph C. Mann .
