Scope and Content
This collection, ca. 1836-1948, contains approximately 118 items, including records of Susie V. Shepherd . Receipts of William Stephen and Lucy D. Shepherd indicate that William was a farmer who owned land in Goochland , Louisa and Fluvanna counties, Virginia , in the mid-1800s. Of interest are bills from M. S. Hoggard who acted as both dentist and blacksmith.
