Scope and Content

This collection consists of four hand colored, silver-print photographs of historic Virginia sites, taken in 1926 by D.N. Davidson of Davidson's Educational Art Pictures , and each signed by the photographer and accompanied by an informational card glued to the mat surrounding the photograph.

The four historic sites include: Gunston Hall , Fairfax County, Virginia ; the Carlyle House , Alexandria, Virginia ; St. John's Church , Richmond, Virginia ; and the College of William and Mary .
