Scope and Content
This is a Civil War letter, December 15, n.y., written by Joseph W. Parrish , Yorktown Naval Battery , to "My Dear Sister" [ Mary L. Parrish ]. Parrish informs his sister that he has not been well for three months, sends his love to family and friends, and indicates that they have not had a battle recently. He also adds to direct her letters to him in care of Peyton's Artillery .
